As of today There are 12 period correct South East Gassers pre entered for the Saturday shoot out. This will be the first time as a group we have raced with flag start. The flag girls better hold their dress down when we blow by. I'll post a list later.

 

I'm not the biggest rockabilly guy but the Straight 8s are great!

 

Stewart's Rod Shop crew will be back again for 2014.. but..probably in shifts this year...

 

How many runs are you guys getting?

Buttoning up a few last items on the '55. This will be its first show and, good lord willing, the furthest it will have been driven. We plan to be there Saturday morning and can't wait.

 

I'll be there friday and saturday . . . camping friday night with a brisk 50* as the low. Doesn't the weather know its supposed to be 90* today?!?

 

Andy and I were wondering about you last night. Glad your going to make. How much of your crew is making it?

 

Tyler, I'm looking forward to some cooler weather. It's in the 90's here now.
Hopefully there is no rain in the forecast?? We are supposed to get rain Wednesday and Thursday. Plan on pulling out Thursday night to make the GA. line before stopping. Can't wait to get there!!

 

Headed out Friday morning! Got a couple bikes for the show and several more up for grabs. Oh...and brushes, too!

 

Everything is supposed to clear out thursday evening sometime. Its a slow moving front, polar vortex jet stream is coming from Canada, (insert weather terminology here), yadda, yadda. I just know I'm bringing a jacket and pants for friday night

 

BGII shifter top on trans is fixed, and I'll be there Fri. after lunchtime. Because I'm an old fart with problems,so gotta bring more gear and so I'll be in my duramax Silverado with BGII on the trailer behind, and my mobility scooter on back of truck.
But at least I'm gonna make it. Will be first time on drag strip for car which has way more power than the rear tires can handle, so prolly a smoke show, just hope I can keep it straight! Gonna ask for solo run(s) till I'm sure I can stay in my lane.

 

Won't be long now!! LETS GO!
