Posting images on a thread is so damned easy that this tutorial is a bit silly... But, here we are. Lets say you are creating a project thread for your deuce roadster build and, of course, you want to post images. First, click the "upload a file" button towards the bottom of the editor. That will bring up a window that lets you select the image on your hard drive. Once you select it (you can select multiple images), click "open." The images will then upload to the H.A.M.B.. From here, you can select whether the image is displayed as a thumbnail within the the post, a thumbnail at the bottom of your post, or a full image within your post. Easy... And no more security token errors with any luck at all...
Having issues uploading from a first gen. I-pad, tried the upload a file button, no luck, tried copy and paste, no luck. Anybody have some insight on this? Thanks for the upgrade looks great so far. Ryan
I think first gen iPad users have to use the iOs app to upload images. It's a hardware limitation. You can get it here for free: H.A.M.B. on the App Store on iTunes
Awesome upgrade Ryan, take that well deserved nap now and come back to work in a couple hours,lol... Flipped a test photo of my Buick fender extension graft on the old Dodge. Just trying to make something out of nothing , story of my life...
I dig that we can still link pictures like we did before, but the new way is sweet. Once again, looks awesome.
This is pretty easy. Of course I never had a problem before. I did the full size first, then went back to try a thumbnail and the previous image I selected was still in the upload box. I selected a new (actually the same) image and it seems to have uploaded both of them at once. I expected the box to be blank on my second upload. I deleted the extra image before I hit the button to post. Maybe a glitch? I'm on my iPhone by the way.
I'll give it a shot... Below is an award that Rod Powell painted for Jeff Myers. Thanks Rod it turned out kool....
I just purposely tried posting a large file (3.7MB) and wasn't surprised that I received an error message that the file is too big. What is the max size that can be uploaded. GREAT work on the new version Ryan. Still finding new improvements. like the message bar that just popped up saying "Messages have been posted since you loaded this page" That is great. Again GREAT job on the new version Ryan!!!!
Just a photo test AND to add my huge thanks to Ryan for an awesome job. I've just started pecking around. Will spend more time tonight checking out the different features. OK, trying to figure out how to get the photos at the bottom of my text, or in between text like if I'm goign to do an adverture thread.
If you type first then upload a photo, the text will be first. Make sure the cursor is after the text before you click upload. ________________________ If you upload a photo, then type, the photo will be first. Make sure the cursor is before the text before you click upload. Basically, where ever the cursor is when you click up load is where your photo will end up. I purposely put the cursor between the P and L of upload and then uploaded the file. So that's where it ended up.
Ok, I'm going to try this again, text first, now I will upload with my cursor at the end of the text. Well that didn't work for me
LOL, probably so......even trying to put the smilie faces at the end doesn't work for me unless I make them with text characters
Come on Denise, think back to the old days when you taught me the star blvd. way of posting and when that went down you then taught me the Photobucket way,,you will get it when you have time. Then you can teach me again! HRP
View attachment 2613854 One more try This is crazy, I'm not a stupid person. Its not working the same for me as it is you guys.....
YouwillfigureItout I think since you're on your phone, the cursor is moving on you when you use a finger or thumb to scroll to the upload button. Try it on the computer when you get home.
I'm on my desktop at work.....shhhh don't tell anyone. Not that anyone around here cares as the HAMB is car related! The only way I got this photo on the bottom was to cut and paste my text
