I have a 32 Ford Pickup with a 32 Frame which has a corvair front end and a rack and pinion setup in front of that . I got under the truck yesterday and saw a conection for steering from the rack and pinion pointing towards the rear. My quesiton is has anyone else out there used this setup. What parts or connections did you use to get to the steering column. Any possible photo's of your setup ? I am planning on using a simple column. Thanks for any assistance on this . Tom

first get O.D. measurements and spline counts for the rack connection ( and take notice on the splines for any items like a index spline or odd shape ( like ford used on some cars ) and measure the column o.d. and spline count if any as your going to be buying some steering u joints to hook it together , ( speedway motors or borgeson has the u joints listed you might need plus the steering shaft blanks and other parts your going to need . as for shafting I prefer the DD shafting as its easier to set up and the U joints mount more securely ( other than welding )
