Fantastic event. Used this as a reliability run in prep for the power tour. Took the 53 and my daughter 260 miles round trip in my 53 chevy pickup.

The racing was awesome and the cars were fantastic. Not those over painted show queens. Real drivers. We had a great day.

drove up from Atlanta this moring had a great time talking to old and new friends, got home at 8:30 did not hit rain all day.

 

The finals in the South East Gasser race at Steel in Motion was Shannon Smith in the Pale rider 55 chevy and Donovan Stott in the White Trash 48 Anglia with the win going to Shannon. The whole group had a blast and hope y'all will have us back next year. Thank's to all involved Quain Stott

Looks like you guys had a blast. Glad the weather treated you well.

 

Due to a accident on the way there (not me) I got there later than I wanted to be,but enjoyed see a lot of old friends & Hambers and got to met Beachbum Jim & Motoandy,a couple of guys from the lower part of the state.

All in all a great time,I heard someone say that when he rolled in with all the people,bands,vendors,cars,campers,bicycles and mini bikes,he said this must be the Woodstock for Hot Rodders!

When I left I had to stop and gas up,,when I pulled out of the station I looked in my rear view mirror and saw Barry (RatRod0) and we ran together until I peeled off on my on ramp in Anderson.

Hope every one has a safe trip home. HRP

 

Wish we could have made it but the wife had a two tire blowout. Cool pics so far, let's see some more.

Good to see folks - Brett, HRP, Josh and others, and I know you were all thrilled to see me. Josh, the Can O Worms looked super pulling the wheels, and it does run strong. Tim is now plotting what to put his blower motor in...

Quain, who wouldn't want y'all back? You put on a great show. As a guy who discovered the drags in the late 50s and continued through to the A/FX and match bash days, seeing gassers bang gears and pull the wheels brought me back to my high school and college days at Lebanon Valley and other New England and New York tracks, And thanks to all involved in The Moonlighter revival.​

 

Thanks Vic! Good to see you too. What a great weekend. Thanks to the Geargoyels and the Iron Lords. Top notch operation. Great track. Great place. I'll be back there!

Josh,we would love to have you & the "Can of Worms" at the All Deuce run,,maybe put Brett in the piss yellow coupe and come and enjoy a nice slower ride through the Mountains in a couple of weeks. HRP

Nice pic of the Can. I heard someone say there was a wheelie involved. Is there any video or photographic confirmation of the alleged wheelie?

 

What a great weekend. Met some cool people and watched some great racing. The cars kept rolling in on Sat and the quality and diversity were awesome. Thanks to all involved for an awesome weekend!!!

 

Wow just got home and unpacked. Best event yet! Geargoyles did an awesome job and Iron Lords too. Southeast Gassers were outstanding! Bands were off the hook! Huge thanks for putting this event together.

What is the name of the photo guys that are selling pictures right by the entrance? They have a shot of the Can O Worms wheels up.

On a side note - Gas Monkey Garage bought my Olds. He didn't have any money or ID .... said he would send a check.

 

First and foremost I have to say Great Job Geargoyles for pulling off such a huge event. Also thanks to the Iron Lords for working hard all morning directing all the cars in and out.
