I feel ya man! Funds are getting low for me also, but I got plenty of welding, grinding and smoothing on the frame to keep me busy for a while.

trees............. hell i'd be happy with a small shrub right now.

i put in an application at my old job for a part time position today. I got laid off from the rod shop at the first of the year and pretty much do work here and there for folks for money. keeping enough of that flowing to pay the day to day bills is hard enough depending on that for project money sucks haha. i know a few vendors probably look at my order history and wonder why i'm buying patch panels a piece or two here and there instead of just ordering ALL at once. oh and the wheels i'm planning to run have went on sale twice since i decided on them and i still don't have the money for them.

hell i take it all back i want a TREE damnit hahaha...........ken...

Benn awhile since I posted , not getting too much done . I did make some headway this past weekend though. Turns out I need to make a new tunnel for the trans . Fabbed up some new motor mounts and pulled the cab off. All that's left is to make a trans crossmember and box the frame rails . I plan on using 1/8 plate for boxing it, but on the fence about fully boxing it or just partial (front and rear sections)

Awesome build, what tire size/brand/model are those front tires? I really like the look of them, also are those rims 6" or 7" wide?

205/75? just want to clarify you mention possibly using 205/70 on the first page.

I think that's what "luckystiff" is using on his build, I'm pretty sure mine are 75's . But I will double check for ya later when I get home .

It's been a busy beginning to the summer months . Not a lot of progress , but enough to make me happy. Started welding up all the unwanted nonsense holes in the fire wall. Just left a hole for the main wiring harness and master cylinder. Also fabbed up the new raised trans tunnel. Hopefully I'll give you guys some more progress soon.

  19. looking cool. I've got a couple of swb unicab trucks I have been wanting to do this with but may have to wait because I just purchased a 62 b-600 school bus. Wonder how it would look laid out like this.

What are you going to run for gauges? I bought my dad a 64 driveable project. Not sure about keeping the original gauges or doing a different layout like Ryan just posted with his. I love your plan. dad1.jpg

Very cool truck! What's the front suspension ? Shes sitting just right. I really want to run the original center gauge setup it's pretty simple and clean. Ryan's setup turn out great also

Coming along nicely! These early 60 Fords are a blast to work on.

Just about to wrap up a short Ford here as well. it's a coworker's project. We went M2 and notched with an axle flip in the back. Should get about 7" clear at the rocker. he wanted it driveable and static... bags come later!

btw Matt, I have your 51 Chevy in the driveway. it has made it to Missouri.

Truck looks really good! Man it's a small world! Glad you got the car! I had talked to Darrell awhile back and he said he was selling it. It sure was a fun car! I started and old thread on here when I changed the motor and lowered it. I'll need to figure out how to post the link.

  29. I purchased it for a project for my collision repair class. thought a school bus would be a cool high school project. So far the plan is to shorten it to about 4 rows of seats and drop it.
