My dad(duckmanrob) and I had to do some work over in the south bend area today, so we decided to drive the hotrod to work. Stopped in Michigan city to look at a job.(hotrods get weird looks at a country club) finished up there and headed to south bend.

Did our work there, and continued on east. Made a few stops in Elkhart and then headed due north.

Made our way up in to Michigan.

Continued north/northeast to three rivers. Made a stop. And figured we had to eat lunch somewhere.

Lowered the tailgate and took a break.

Finished our lunch and continued on to our final destination: the Gilmore car museum for their weekly cruise night.

    Rolled through a small town

    And the final stop.

Left the Gilmore and headed south down 94 towards home.

Finally rolled in about a hour ago.

315miles. Truck never missed a beat. Not a bad day at work.

Looks like a fun day! Thanks for the memories, I grew up in South Bend, my favorite junkyards were in Elkhart, where I could buy parts for my coupe for a couple of bucks!

And lower Michigan, well I turned 18 a week after Michigan lowered the drinking age to 18! Man did we have fun! I'm lucky to have lived thru it, not all my friends did...

You missed my house in Edwardsburg by about 1/4 mile. I run that route 3x a week or so between me and my son racing in Kalamazoo. Which lake did you stop at? Didn't look like Corey, or Wood... Maybe Pleasant Lake?

It was sugarloaf lake. Kinda just looked at the iPhone and picked a lake close to 131. It was a great day, nice and warm.

The guys at Gilmore didn't expect a truck out of NW Indiana to be 2 hours from home.

I heard the mosquitoes in that area are as big as seagulls. Cool pictures and cool way to spend the day for sure.

You showed us the pics. I just wasn't sure on the exact location. And that's a negative on the pay scale.
