Hey Partsrivet, you and your buddy John deserve a big "at a boy", and thank you for these shots! Very cool, and really neat to see some fresh shots on this incredible thread.

 

Me, at Fontana, 296" Desoto, Doug Robinson chassis, nose from the former Hippo Brammer car. Bob Keilty and I partnered on this car, ran 198 for the first leg of the B/FD 1320 record but we wasted the motor and could not back it up. Later sold the remains to Gary Hazen, later of "Panic" fame (which he also bought from myself and the late Don Wilson)

The older we get, the faster we were. Actually, I think Dave missed a key 1 space over... (another sign of old age)

 

Ha, old age is just one of my reasons; I also have cataracts, which I scheduled to have removed in July. I have canceled the surgery, though, because without my cataracts, I will have no more excuses for typos and other mistakes
