Ok so i recently bought a pair of original hollywood flippers off ebay. Not cheap first off, but i bought them to run on my 1940 chevy early style kustom. I snapled them on they dont fit right but they fit. There is about 5/8" between the wheel and hubcap. So i will have to modify them to fit. Any info please share. Flipper hubcaps were aftermarket items produced to fit most of the popular car wheels back in the 1930s to 1950s. It is very difficult today to find the correct set that fits the wheels you may have. The thing I did was to get hubcaps that fit your wheels and attach them inside the flipper hubcaps. That assumes that your wheels have mounting nubs of clips in the center area. Don
That was u was thinking getting a stock set and welding them to the back side. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I take bent up hub caps that are cheap and fit my wheels, cut the dented SS cap off and weld the base into the flipper cap. I don't ever remember finding any that fit Ford wheels but I have some for who know what ever they fit. I buy the dented up hub caps in the dollar pile for the base units.
The 3 rusty ones are mine and they are for Ford inner bump wheels, I have the missing bar for the one but it's in 2 pieces. I just need to find one more.
This is what i was gonna do to mine now that they dont fit my wheels. It then should suck it in close to the rim. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
