Technical Leaking around hood

    When it rains or when i wash my car I'm getting water leaking around my hood running into my battery tray is there any way I can keep out the water

    Check adjustment of hood and that any rubber seals are OK, not hard or perished?

    Drill some holes in the battery tray to let the water out.
     
  4. Do you have room to have the battery in a marine case to protect it from the elements?

    theres no weather stripping or nothing where the hood shuts the adjust it fine didnt know if there was something i could buy to seal it
     
  6. ^ Seriously, this is probably the best answer. It is going to be a challenge to make your hood water tight. Most old cars were designed to just let the water flow through. It has to go somewhere and you don't want it pooling up anywhere and causing rust issues, so I think you just need to make it easy to drain. If you don't want to do that, as mentioned, you could install a waterproof battery box or maybe relocate the battery.
