I recently picked up a T5 to put in my '46 Chevy (I know it's a lot of work) but I have been looking all over and cannot find any information about rear axles that fit into this car with an open driveline. Any ideas of what fits relatively well with a moderate gear ratio like 3.73 or 3.55 or something similar to that? Any help is appreciated.

From personal experience,a tri five will work but you will have to redrill the center bolt holes in the pads.

Snaptwo is right. I used a 57 Chevy in mine, bigger bearings than the 55-56 (as I recall), and a drain plug. Super easy swap.
