Thanks paco. This is how I fixed my 57 Ford panel truck,(pictures below), and a couple of others. My goal with this 60 is to build it completely from salvage yard pieces. So far it is coming together very nicely. The grille came from a 2 ton truck that had a fairly fresh rebuild on a 4bbl engine. The clutch was out and it was obsolete equipment so they junked it. I like saving pieces that others throw out. Too far gone for some... they can always be fixed, if you are willing to work at it. In process
LAG - I dig what you're saying. I did like how you sorced the big window back cab side (& roof) with the front. I would never had thunk that!! I'm sure I'm not alone. This has been a great week of learning ...
Can someone give me a rough estimate on the width of their bench seat? I am curious if a 64 Chevy c10 seat would fit that I have available to me
It's not a spacer for steering arm, they are to relocate the tie rod down lower to clear springs, when you turn C shaped, $50.00 So-Cal Angle of drag link NOT being on same plane as rear part of spring, is what gives you "BUMP STEER"
'60 F-100 custom cab .... just did the 3" Sid's dropped axle and rear axle flip with c-notch. Dual exhaust is next. I'll put a set of DB WWW's on next if someone would please send me some money.
Beware of the dropped axles out there... I (and two others I know) had camber issues with the one that has a tube with "forged" ends.
My first F100. Its a 59. Plans and parts list are growing, and the truck arrives from Tx tomorrow. How reliable is the 292 Y block ? I know nothing about them. It has a stick on the floor.
292's are good little engines. I had an exhaust smoke issue with mine... it also leaked a lot of oil from the valve covers. I cleaned out the oil returns (plugged with goo) on the heads, and it all cleared up. I hear the "Y" blocks are infamous for that. It then ran like a top!
maltman - very nice. Looks as if someone took very good care of the truck. A little de-altitude will look killer.
My latest. 1959 short box with 223 straight six and three on the tree. Does anyone know if a 1960 grill will fit on a 59?(I have a nice chrome 60 grill)
Nice truck! I am a little partial to white...how was your truck lowered? I really like the stance. Joe Sent from my XT907 using H.A.M.B. mobile app
