Steve, Gene told me today that if I see you to be sure and bring you over to meet him. So, look us up, we won't be hard to find. I'm looking forward to meeting you too.

Geez, I don't know that anyone knows what I look like. I'll be in black jeans and a Moonlighter Color blue shirt. 6'1" 250lbs, with a little strawberry blonde lady about a foot shorter (my wife). We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary last Saturday, and we will be at an awesome gasser meet with awesome folks, so we will probably look pretty dang happy.

We had a very good time at Knoxville even though the event got rained out. I had a chance to see some old friends and meet some new ones. Old Colt and his wife fit right in with the Moonlighter gang in the trailer waiting for the rain to stop. It was good to see Speedyb representing the left coast. It really was a good group of people there. The Moonlighter and the Alley Cat were the only to gassers to make a second qualifying pass. The time was inadvertently shown and the Moonlighter ran a 6.38. I didn't see the speed.

Yeah, I noticed that when I met him at the track yesterday. He seemed pretty fresh. Guess it may be that he's had an off season since last year to re-coop from the frantic thrashing on the Moonlighter and get a new knee. Or maybe cause he was breathing some of our fresh Tennessee air ... lol. At any rate, Gene and his family make you feel just like one of their family ... what a great bunch of folks. Quain Stott was giving out home made ice cream and cake to celebrate nephew Donovan Stotts' (who drives the White Trash Anglia) 21st birthday. It was great to finally meet folks I've seen on this forum so many times. Well, the heavens did open up and dispense us a bunch of liquid sunshine, but me and wifey Patricia still have our rain checks for August. Hope everyone can make it back to Knoxville then.

My son and I were in the trailer also. All I can say is thanks to the Cromers for the hospitality. They gave my son and I some chocolate chip cookies after we helped them try to get stuff out of the weather. We will be back later in the year when you guys come back.

Nice meeting you and your son at Knoxville Enloe. I tried offering the Cromers some of my hot fresh french fries from the concession stand as thanks for the use of trailer to get out of the downpour. Guess they weren't hungry or watching their figures. Gene did eat one though.

Sorry I missed you. I moved up to the front of the trailer to make room for more people to get out of the rain.

Speedyb, from California, is in the background of the shot of Ruth and her grand daughter hugging.

I think he's gonna turn the flashers on while the good ol' Gap Band is playing against his next victim.
