Here is one with a twist.... this one came about from a conversation I had with a fellow HAMB member a while ago.....he drew the picture for me.

When I was growing up, my dad owned a 1969 Datsun 1600 pick up. I loved that truck..I've owned two in my life..I wish I still had one of them. If I come across another one....this is what I'm going to build....

    This just turns my crank!

He had that already done, he did it when I got my Datsun truck and said I want to gasser it (sorry, don't mean to step on your toes). I could have just gotten you one of those for $200 just recently. Great trucks. Ito is king. Hear is his version of my truck.

Sorry...been a long time.........That one is bitching..I like the transverse leaf spring idea because of the short distance of the front sheet metal on those trucks.

The 69-72 are my favorites.....and I have a Hemi waiting for one now.......maybe a seat in the middle ..or possibly a fliptop .....

That would be too cool. I want to do the transverse leaf, but I may go with short parallel instead. I have a van axle already.

    Sorry to highjack this post........

But this is way cool...my son is into drifting and the small cars.....I'm painting his Mazda RX7 now...it's lightened and made to haul ass.

What better way to close the gap between my background ( straight axled cars of the 60's and 70's ) and his current Japanese car interest.....then a Hemi powered gasser Datsun pick-up......
