If this is for me, I only have about 3-4 total. And today about another 2 . I don't remember the time on all the flake and clear and color sand lol... It's a process . I get lost in the fun and loose track of time.

If this is what you are thinking about, it's not paint. It is actual cane basket weave. Started on coach-built cars like this Rolls and eventually worked its way down the line. This Mini was custom made for Peter Sellers. And to keep it relevant to this thread, was a rare option (maybe dealer installed?) on 1953 Plymouth convertibles as door trim! I've only ever seen one and can't find a picture, sorry.

  10. /\ That looks good, TU28. I was going to suggest that the basket weave was mostly about shading, but wasn't sure that was what you were going after.

Elspock! Nice work as usual. On that second tank, did you depart from your usual silver flake/silver base ? It appeared to have more blue in it.

Here's mine, flame job done 32 years ago and still fits into todays scene even better than it did then. Pastels & Graphics were big back then. Nostalgia was new! IMG_3090.JPG

Hope this posts. Bagger I taped and flamed with a 4" foam roller, 1-Shot with flattener, and then striped with a Mack sword brush. Had to use what I had. Folks don't believe it was rolled.
