I saw this a few weeks ago while taking a break from watching my 4 year old enjoy the ack ack ack rides. I doubt it's real but who knows? Neat anyhow. I didn't get a pic of the whole car but I think it had radirs and pie crusts. Cedar Point is an amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio. This is a permanent display car.
Not sure, I didn't pay attention. It was a flathead block though. I'll be back up there in a few weeks...
It's still there! I don't know enough about flatheads or arduns to know if it's real, but it did thunk it with my knuckle it is aluminum. Anybody have the story on this thing?
It's defiantly an aluminum head, distributor in the rear and a mid sump oil pan. I'll upload pics when I get home.
Looks awfully similar to this fake Ardun I spotted at Back to the 50's a few years ago. SBC with Ardun look-a-like valve / head covers. Kind of disgusting if you ask me.
Kind of looks like a 337 Lincoln Flathead. Distributor is in the right spot, but I have never heard of anyone putting a set of Ardun heads on one.
They made a 24 stud 239cui flathead in Germany with the disrtributor in the back. You find one at You tube under Koln flathead V8
