    has anybody used the single stage trinity starfire paint.

    Never heard of it.....but you are on the right track with single stage paint. Base coat clear coat is for street rods. Nothing wrong with street rods, but old hot rods shouldn't be that slick!

    Not bad if you are on a budget and not looking for a show car job. I used their lacquer paint and I was happy with the results. For those of you who haven't heard of it, here's the web site http://www.paintforcars.com/

    I painted my old model a pickup with it and it looked good and held up ok. For the price its good paint just don't expect the same results as top shelf brands .

    I've used the ss enamel on two different ot vehicles. I used the yellow on a Maverick, and covered it with their clear enamel, it held up real good and looked great for enamel. It did take a lot to get coverage though as it was very transparent. I used the Daytona blue on a big Dodge van for a Church, it hasn't held up well at all. I didn't use the clear on it. It sat outside in the weather 24/7, and in about 5 years it has chalked out and even faded back down to the primer. I have to repaint it this fall.
