  10. Scott, how about a tunnel ram, and a "Grump Lump", and go for the C/MP look?

It's funny you mention that Ric,cause I was just looking at Thunderbolt style teardrop/bubble hoods earlier today.
I always wanted to run a tunnel ram,but I will probably stick with a single 4 bbl or a factory aluminum low rise 2x4 intake, just to attempt to preserve the 65-66 era aesthetic of the car.
I will probably change my lettering to B/FX though.

Then look out.....Cause the Opie Doinker is going on the trailer. :D

    Thanks Kip,
I normally don't dig them on coupes, but I'm gonna try some different intakes and carb spacers to try to squeeze a few hp out of it here and there,so I may be looking for some more Clearance Clarence!:)

It was either get this set that's way too big for beer money prices,or spend $800 for a new set that's sized right and get em coated....

    Haha!

That's my hard hat for work.....and yes,it's covered in aftermarket piston, cam, exhaust, and other stickers.:)
If I had the time and could count on the kids not jamming their hands into half kicked resin,I would make a mold and do my own T-bolt hood....lol!

You know what?I still might do that.Screw it.It will be a huge pain, but if I roll it out nice and thin it will be feather light.

I think you just opened a can of worms Marcus!:D

And I cannot wait to see what you're packing in that badass truck next year!

As far as the Shaker goes,it's not gonna get any crazy, big dollar mods.....it's just gonna get "Mo Better"....lol!

Got a Ford "Le Mans" solid lifter cam a while back....It may find its way into the car when the heads come off to freshen the valve job. :)

And the 4.56's are a definite go.

I'm thinkin' the 'Okie Doker' is gonna look more like the 'Slow Poker' once the little 289 gets to spinnin'...!:D

    Marc,
You and the Ol Girl didn't waste any time getting up and heading for home on that pass, did ya!?!?
    Nice job!:)

Ric seemed to kinda get a warm fuzzy feeling from it too. :D

I'm still blown away by the fact that you really hadn't driven the car before....You make it look like you could be doing a sudoku puzzle on the steering wheel and drinking a cup of coffee in between gear changes.:)

Man was that a good time.
    Best weekend ever. :)

If there is anything our little group needs to reconsider is our timeline for Sunday. We tend to make a single pass then load up and head home so the lunatics who plan on working at least part of Monday can get home in good time. The last 2 years it has become evident that Sunday turns into a serious match bash / grudge race / MDA fun day. It appears we are missing a whole lotta cool racing and a whole lotta fun matching and bashing. May have to stick around and line up a couple of folks

I agree Dave. After my clutch linkage shit the bed for the second time, I decided to put the car on the trailer, and just watch some racing. I think I should have just bit the bullet, and fixed it a second time.
I definitely missed the boat, on a whole bunch of racing Sunday. I will not miss it next year!:)
