Heres a Quick Video of a night run at Flashback Friday for those who havent seen it. This particular run was a 9.78 @ 139 mph Having a great time on the East Coast. Next race is the Legends at Budd Creek at MIR Sept 13th - 14th

Saw this '64 Cyclone at a show in Dearborn today. Very nice. Strictly for show is what it looks like to me. Driven from the trailer to the show spot. I guess that's what makes some people happy.

I mean't to ask the owner about the motor. We got to talking about the tach and how much time and coin he invested in restoring that one item. The car was stunning to look at.

 

Myron;it is a great looking 64,some people want to try and keep their cars perfect,never drive them,it is a shame!!! I get upset at myself sometimes that I have mine so setup for drag racing that it is not usable for much else!! ROY.

Roy,but you are using it! But because you like to race it,your forced to do alot of what you've done. Bugs me when people don't use there car because so much has been invested. Although,I shouldn't be quick to judge him....he probably has 3 more that he drives the crap out of! LOL!!

 

He probably doesn't drive it much because he knows it will never be as cool as a '65.

 

Muttley you dog. Now us 64 guys have some pride too! Boy I would be in heaven with 65 taillights and trim, with my 64 front end, I just like side by side headlights..........Al

My car finally went to get paint two tone fixed yesterday. After two years of waiting I chose a new person that is actually interested in fixing it, he said "2/2 1/2 months but you'll be happy when I'm done". I interviewed him hard and looked at much of his past and current work, it took me a few weeks to decide but if I have to pay again I'll gamble with him. Hope to stay on my schedule of having a running car by Christmas,. If not, real close.........Al

Thanks Roy, you and me both! I'll keep you posted on his progress, will be working on lexan installation in couple weeks so it's ready for the chassis when he's done, and headliner is installed! Actually starting to get exciting again..........Al

That photo has been shown before,still cool though! Those old trailers are scary,too short,one axle,no fenders and the tow vehicle is dragging its ass!! Amazing that they made it anywhere!!!!

If I can work out how to resize photos I'll post one of a Comet a mate owns . It was running 10's at Willowbank Nostalgias. He carts it around on a '64 Mercury truck with '64 302 and matching '64 Potvin blower. A bloody nice unit and I'm not a Ford man.

 

HI; Where can I get a Lexan windshield for a 65 Comet ? Chris

 

Possibly Shakedownracing.com They handle other Comet Falcon Lexan pieces, They have to be Molded I think to fit correct (pricey)..............Al
