This is with out a doubt the best story I have ever seen here. You deserve that car and she is counting on you to keep it as is. Good to see young men with some real back bone. Following this................................

Did he take the stock Model A front crossmember, modify it and weld it to the top of the frame? or is it a custom fabricated front crossmember? I've never seen it done that way before

  9. Wow! What a great find! I can't wait to see this one unfold! Kudos to you for taking this in the right direction and not rewriting this cars history.

You have the right attitude that you are the car's caretaker. And it's great that you are able to document the car's history too and share it with us. Most of us love to see how they really actually built them back then. You have the real deal there, no doubt about it. Do us all proud and care for Snoopy well.

Hope you can get it going, looks well built, would drive it as is if possible. They are only in the unrestored state once, if you restore it will just look like a new old style build. Great find.

  14. I gotta run for dinner, but I had to give you guys a little teaser... Engine seemed siezed, but I pulled the plugs, no rust present, oiled the cylinders, few days later I put it in gear & when me & my buddy pushed it forward the tires skidded, we pushed it back & it turned over !

I oiled the cylinders up again & then this past saturday I disconnected the car wiring from coil & starter, & fuel line (the old gas in the tank is nasty !!) & cranked it over via jumper cables.

More later & I will try to reply to some inquires as well ! Thanks

  20. Denis,
    WWOOWW!!!
You did it perfect! What a story!
This is what "traditional" is all about.
    You were the right guy.
    The story talked to you.
    The car talked to you.
    You listened.
If you follow your gut you will be rewarded
far more than you even think.

  21. Well since you asked so nicely for pouring smoke ... ;-) This past saturday after rolling it over with the plugs out, I dripped some gas into the fuel bowl via the vent, hooked up a jumper wire to the coil, cleaned the old plugs, filed the points and well... I promise no edits, the 1st video is the first try & the 2nd video is the second try (I kept the coil energized longer on the 2nd video...) - I'm giggling like an idiot but I don't care, I was blown away :)

Nice to see an original hot rod from back in the day from Canada. Makes it that much more special.
