Marshall, did that 12 port head come from Casper, Wyoming? I met a guy named Gene Novotny there a couple weeks ago. Neat guy, had a few (hundred) 12 port stories too. Nice car!

Marshall ran the altered at the Wild West Nostalgia Drags at Pacific raceways today. Got in two passes, a 12.06 and an 11.97 before we had to pack it up due to the flexplate bolts breaking torque and backing just enough to allow the plate to wobble on the crank flange and make quite a racket.

Anyway, here's pics of the day's misadventures...

We're still running alcohol , I missed a shift on the top end, neutral lock out failed.
    8500 rpm bang.
I'm trying to get it back together for a nostalgia race at Bremerton on the 25th.

Is there a Sad-button I can push? Everythings looks so awesome, until the broken engine parts.

But there needs to be at least some, Offerings to the speed gods.

And the body is over the top, it's so beautiful I would'nt dare use it.

    Keep ad it. :)

Absolutely love the 6 cyl altered! A family friend on the east coast Jim (Tinny) Tinsmith used to have a Logge (sp) chassis 23 T with a turtle deck that got me into the altereds. Great job.

'thought this deserved a bump as there was rumor the 6 was coming out to make room for a blown 394 Olds..
    Any truth to that?
