I was hoping someone may be able to help me with a project I have just bought. I am chasing some info specs or data on the chassis I need to get for the body I have decided to build. All I know is it's a 1940 Ford panel delivery and I having trouble working out what chassis I need for it.Been told I can use a sedan chassis? any help would be greatly appreciated. I have included a pic to help. Thanks John

I am in the middle of a build of a 40 panel too. They use the same chassis as the pickup. The frames are the same as the passenger car except for the body mount outriggers, the commercials don't use them.PM me your email and I can send you some pics and other info.

Do the panel deliveries use the same frame as the sedan deliveries? The panels look physically larger.

Panels, sedan deliveries, pickups, and all passenger cars use the same basic frame.

I agree with fatkoop, the frames should be the same.
