This was in the Fremont facebook page, though I'm not sure it's Fremont...This might be the "Bad Actor" of Tom Topping and Don Wilson...I was a partner with Wilson in the original "Panic" AA/FA...after I left Tom and Don partnered on "Bad Actor," but I'm not sure that this is the same one...Don Wilson worked at Blair's, unfortunately he suffered from child polio and passed away recently.

Caddo Mills was one of the first drag strips...originally concrete...probably an old military airfield

Palmer Lazarus was from Illinois (Chicago, I think), but here he is running in Texas

The "Poor Boys" were from Texas, they included the Shrank Brothers, who later moved to Northern California and ran some strong Desoto powered fuel dragsters--one of which has been either restored or recreated...story was that they blew up motors on a regular basis, went to the junk yard, bought a Desoto block, put their cam, blower, injectors on and ran it until it blew, stock crank, pistons, etc...

296, If you enlarge the picture of the "Bad Actor", it reads Don Wilson's. I knew Don and Tom when they were racing Nostalgia T/F, with Howard Haight as their driver. That car was dubbed the Bad Actor as well. What a fun bunch of guys, and damn competitive!!!

Thanks, Marty, here is a photo of Don Wilson (center, glasses, grubby clothes, as always), with Howard Haight in the firesuit...these guys won a 16-car fuel altered meet with "Panic" at OCIR. And yes, there was the Coke girl...

Sure is what's missing. We just had the NHRA reunion her in NH last month. Pure Hell and Rat Pack put on quite a show. Nothing like AA/Fuel Altereds to get your blood going!

I'm not sure, he looks a little too big to be Pete, but that blower is either a pruned stock case or one of Pete's Engineering...if the latter, then that could be Pete working on it...

Looks like the runner is off to a good start but he probably lost to the car further down the track.
