The biggest thing I noticed with a pan-evac system, all the little leaks go away. the windage in the bottom end is tremendus at high RPM and forces any oil out any place it can. I guess you have a windage tray, crank scraper?

Ken was beat when he pedaled it at the stripe, his opponent went 10.00 on a 10.00! I did not make the cut,24 cars trying for 16 spots.the Comet needs a freshening, went back to back 10.55s at 127mph,the bubble was only a 10.51 and I normally run 10.30s,OH WELL!!! ROY.

Al;did you notice the high dollar oil retention device on the dip stick?!!!! YES,it was a bummer to not make the show,I missed Q2 as I had a flat front runner, when I pulled it it had a hunk of steel in it and M/T had their support trailer there so I had both front tires changed. We were to get Q4 around 2-3PM Saturday, then 3-4PM,then they cancelled it,I leaned it out for Q4 but never got to try it!!! I think with some suspension mods, tire pressure, shifting and winding a little higher and I can get there ...I'll keep chipping away. I went 11.98, then 11.91 so hopefully I'll keep working on it!

It's just a bad picture, they look brand new, just some anti seize on the threads.

I will be racing at Irwindale in December for the Mooneyes Christmas show. I am trying to get some roller spring perches and maybe 6 cylinder springs done before then. Gotta find some springs though. I also need to get a vacuum relief check valve for my pan EVAC system. Irwindale is just an 1/8 mile so hopefully I can get some improved 60 foot times with the front end changes.

StreetorTrack.com has roller perches, very nice person, engineer that developed his own product from his personal road racing experience in a 65 Mustang. Afco has 5-1/2" x 11" front coils $54.99 each, tell them about your car and they will get you the correct rate. 800 632-2320 is their number!

Today's project, roller spring perches with eyelet shock bottom mount bracket. Hopefully this will free up the front a little! Thanks for the idea Roy!
