I don't think it's either an angle finder or a cam timing wheel. It seem to be one piece. How would one use it to determine angles? Also, how would it be used to set a cam. Engine builders use a regular degree wheel, a pointer and a dial indicator. This thing has no provision to be bolted to a crankshaft.It also has that odd looking rectangular thing on the face of it.
Timing wheel. The rectangle is something added, standing out on bolts or studs of some sort over the center hole so it can still be bolted to a crank. Rectangle probably adapts it to a wrench fixture made for some other lash-up.
No one asked what is written across the top, could be a big clue. I think it's machine shop related. A base of a grinding fixture?
Its a timing wheel, there is one for sale on Ebay right now for $100. It does appear to be modified or perhaps a different application than the one on Ebay. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
