I need to get my dual Q-jet tunnel ram setup back on, and finish getting it sorted out, then I can put "Quadra Ram Induction", on the fenders, or better yet seeing as there are two of them, "Octa Ram Induction"

 

That's really ironic....
I was just reading page 47 of the July 2012 issue of Hot Rod...Back then you were quoted as calling it the "OctaJet"


I have a feeling I'm going to be dragging you over to help me un-f__k my carb situation with those 660's....lol

You need to find a home for those, & replace them with 6109's, much better drivability, don't worry about the 750 cfm rating for you "Buzz'n 300 n 1/2 Dozen". The engine will use what it needs, and the bigger venturii/bore hurting signal at the boosters can be fixed with modified boosters & air bleeds tuning.

PS. Who is Ric Panne"n"ton (dang Brandon). Now I know why the Hispanics shorted the word/name to "Pan" with all those extra "n's", people are sure to blow the spelling/pronunciation.., and they do with alarming regularity. I'll cut Brandon some slack though for giving us 8 pages, and a cover no less, with a paint job that wouldn't have made it into the Demolition Derby Annual, 10 years ago.

 

Already got a pair of those 750's....Should I do the same kind of throttle linkage mods that used to be popular on the 660's as well,or leave them stock?

Leave em alone, they're already progressive double pumpers. The problem with the center squirters was the 1 to 1 or nearly primary/secondary linkage, and even if you modified it to progressive, the primary jazzing the accelerater pump is still squirting fuel down the secondary side, and the throttle blades aren't even open yet. The center squirters run fine, but drive crappy, the 6109 was Holley's fix.

 

That's good news
All these babies need is a fresh kit in them,and we'll be ready to baseline them.I'm really excited about this setup.....the manifold even has this nifty little channel cut out,with a recessed section welded back in to clear the linkage on sideways mounted carbs.Cool stuff

And with about 14 to 14-1/2" from the lifter valley to the top of the bowl vents,I'm pretty confident I'll have a couple of inches left over for hood clearance with the Crites hood.....Which,by the way,is really nice.

Some of your best material has been slung forth on this one,but I think your best quality insults were fired out on the Gasser thread before GoonSprocket got himself 86'd permanently.
That guy had a way of bringing out your inner "Insult Poet"....lol

Scott, "Dblgun" is the brother that tuned me up on 6109's for my deal. Being a primarily Q-jet guy, I didn't even know those little Holley Honey's existed, until Brent sat down next to my bed, and read me "The Holley Cronicles" on a cold (75'F) winters night.

I haven't received any volleys from Jefff, or Dog Patch lately, wonder if they're pooling their scraps & JB Welding some smack together somewhere.

 

I think they've figured out we're coming loaded for bear this year,and not just talkin' shit....It does seem awfully quiet,doesn't it...? lol

I want to play with the big dogs so bad I can't stand it but I guess someone has to keep the track worm wile the fans boost the sales at the concession stand.

I'm not going to be running with the big dogs by any stretch either,but I'm really stoked over the fact that tons of us are either putting together entirely new cars,or making some serious improvements to our existing machinery.
2015 is gonna be a great year at the Meltdown.

So I got a few updates from Merek Chertkow last night on his progress with the Meltdown giveaway dragster chassis!

He is planning to run an injected nailhead for power,and could use a good front cover if anybody out there has one on the shelf.

He has also done some major re-work to the cage,as his Wife is planning to drive it an the 2015 Meltdown!
