3. I really like the 409 and the 6x2... I will also be running a 409 with 6x2 in my 37 chevy.....I have Holley 94's and progressive linkage...what will be your carb choice?
Please give us info on your engine.

Your coupe is really going to be a looker !

Thanks Dogger. It's a 1964 409 car block bored with forged rods and pistons.
Small port 817 head with larger inlet valve's and port work.
Using an Isky Z33 cam cause it came with the parts i bought, see how it goes though.
Also have the progressive linkage with 6 holley 94's.Probably just run the middle 2 carbs while running the engine in..

5. Some rides/projects just seem to have the right look/stance/appeal right from the get-go. Yours is one of those. It's got the right amount of top chop, :cool:rear wheels look
good, nice stance, super motor BUT for me personally I would have used a Ford 427:cool: or ??. I'm a sticker for Ford-Ford or Chevy-Chevy or Ply-Ply or Studebaker- ???[/SIZE], well you get the drift. What about the paint, I even like the color ? It's different & you don't see it everyday on every other ride.
Can't wait to see the front with the grille, lights, etc.?
You've got one great look'n ride there...:D
All the best....:)

Looks great! I've hauled several cars home for a buddy,he had me sneak them out behind the barn when his wife wasn't home. I think she found out about them anyway, he tells me she put in this new rule that anything he buys has to run and move under it's own power.

7. Interesting how keeping secrets about cars can bite you in the butt,,It's been almost 30 years ago we were at the club Christmas party and my wife & I were seated beside a fellow club members wife and Brenda ask Virgina how she liked Joel's new 39 Ford truck?

Lets just say the look she gave him sent chills down my spine.

Within a month she was driving a new car and Joel was able to bring his truck home. HRP

Haaaa...when I was 13, I bought a BSA 500 Gold Star motorcycle that my parents didn't know about. I was keeping it at our neighborhood swimming pool parking lot. Wasn't 2 weeks before a friend of mine ran into my dad at the barbershop and asked him how my motorcycle was working out. Now THAT was an interesting conversation!

Oh yea...love the rod, great stance, great 409, you Aussies rule.

It's still up on the stands so the stance is off but it's the first time it's been mostly all together.

After 3 years of marriage and not wanting to rent any longer, I went out on my own and bought a house. The wife had no idea about it. I used my V.A. to buy it.......Anyway, after "I" closed escrow, I came home and told my wife to start packing things up because I just bought us a house. HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAA......We sold that house after five years and made a fortune from it and used the funds to upgrade to a new house. And we are still living happily ever after.

Sometimes it's better to not tell "ask" the wife.

Best way is to tell her you just bought it to part out cos they bring more money that way. Then tell her how the guy who restored it in the seventies just passed on etc etc. Before you know it, she'll be asking you to save the cute little car.

You did an exceptionally nice job. And it is really nice that your wife is enjoying the car with you.

The seaside photo is a great setting. I had the pleasure of visiting beautiful Perth on business way back in 1983. It is a lovely city.

27. my wife told me I couldn't have 3 motorcycles, I told her I don't two are mine and the BSA is Cade's. Our son was 4 at the time, so I have 12 years before he rides it.
