I asked the kids if they wanted to go for a ride, LOL. Sadly, they fell for it.

I about **** when I saw that chain and strap, but they had already moved it once like that and ***ured me they did it with great care. They were right, no damage at all so we loaded it that way. I'll unload it some other way though.

I still need to square up with you on that steering box you sent! I'll PM you.

Me too! they must have picked my 40 ford coe up that way before I had her because it bent both of my doors right where the chains were!

[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] I found this 1946 Chevrolet grazing in the woods near Oklahoma City. I cut a small road with a chainsaw and then drug it home to Houston, TX, made it into a Jeeper's Creepers truck just to scare kids on Halloween.

Bit off topic, but since you asked Mr Green, these seem like some examples of "cheap" buys that people must have walked away happy. Sure you can buy a pile for super cheap and fix it up but I'm sure all these rides were sold at a loss. 15. I think that is one of the "perennial for sale" vehicles one sees for sale everywhere. I think it also didn't sell at BJ last year.

  17. I think that Divco is kind of rare, I've seen pictures in factory literature, but have never seen one in the flesh before.

  18. I posted this over in the COE groups page, but will add it here as well.
"I have a Divco book that has info on this subject. It seems that they did this conversion with Chev/GMC, Mack, and Yellow Truck and Coach ch***is. The author didn't know how many were produced, but 40 and 41 appear to be the only years of production.
The Chev/GMC version was on a 1/2 ton ch***is supplied by General Motors"
Unfortuately, I can't upload the scan from the book. You will have to go here to see it.

Hi Dean like the pictures. I starting a 53 ford coe using a 1987 e 350 ch***ic. my wheel openings look so big with a 16" wheel. the primmered truck looks good with smaller wheels, do you thing the wheel wells are smaller than stock. what do you and other guys think.

Sure are a lot smaller compared to this one.

  27. Yup, I'm willing to bet they grafted openings from a car to get the size they wanted. (or at least from a light pick-up)

Sorry I did not take more pictures of the 6 wheel as it was getting dark and I wanted to take as many pictures that I could of other cars and trucks. But most of these cab overs are on Toyota or other Japanese pickup truck ch***is. When I see that truck again I will try o get more pictures and post them.

IMG_1394.jpg IMG_1395.jpg IMG_1393.jpg A friend of mine just finished this 1941 Chevy. Was in the Jeepers Creepers movie, apparently they used more than one.
