    Randy,
I don't know where you find all this cool stuff,or the time to build it all.
Looking forward to hanging out at the next Meltdown, and seeing that Willys hang those hoops in the air!:)

Find it hell I built it outta crap I have had for years just finally got around to assembling it lol.

As much as I can't wait for the meltdown i need as much time as I can get so I can pull off the whole tow the digger with the gasser to the meltdown gig lol so far the Willys is running good but won't get much seat time for a few months as it is colder than a well diggers ass around here (of course I know I'm preaching to the choir ) I am however ready to hang out with all you clowns this year only this time I hope to sample some of that fine Canadian whiskey everyone talks about from that side of town lol

You guys know of any where to look for some good pics of AWB chargers like the stardust.
Looking for shots of the chassis and cage I think my lunker is going under the ax and would like to see what they did back in the days.
Seem every one else is on the gasser bad wagon and not having any cars in the stable to fit that build I was going for the short lanes at the drags. Thanks James.

I will look when I get home tonight I have a book that has some pretty good pics however don't overthink it as those cars were pretty crude even the factory ones were not that pretty just remember safety first and when you decide to take a whack at it be sure to brace the hell outta it and measure ten times before you cut the more prep you do the easier it will be to put back together

  8. Enloe gave me a stack of 1964,5,6,7 Car Craft mags and they show a lot of how they were built. Not sure if I saw that exact car but let me flip back through them again. If I find something I can scan it.

  9. And on a side note - why does it say "BANNED" under Bean Dip's avatar ?

    Thanks
I think Bean Dip got bent when he posted pics of his ladder bars on the ladder bar thread and some of the guys didn't like his welds and he had n problem telling them what he thought.

  13. That's funny right there. Several of the guys in our club have been banned before. Kind of a badge of honor - if you were standing your ground - not posting pics of your junk - of course.

Dang! I was wondering why there was no progress on his thread lately. Him and I were in the process of making a deal on some of his used parts too!

    Except that's not a Charger.....What is that a Coronet?
It says in one of the captions it used to be the Roger Lindamood "Color Me Gone" car.....That's cool.
The Tasca Ford A/FX car ended up like that....Sam Auxier ended up running it with a tube axle as the "Bowani" car.I only found that out this year.
Man those cars got used and abused!

So do you think it would be wrong to keep the stock front suspension I know it would limit the amount of moving it forward. And how much factory floor is used in these cars?

Most of the 65 era cars used the stock torsion bar setup, but by 67 most everything looked like a logghe chassis with a tube axle...I would guess that a few privateers would have used what they had though.

II funny is correct through all the research I done when I built my afx cars most privately owned poor folks used what was available moving that k member forward though is a real bitch however that was the way the factory cars were done most locals used straight axles, mostly a-100 van axles, it was way easier than th k member move plus a whole lot more room for fenderwell headers and engine mounting I've done it both ways and if I were to build another one i would definately use a straight axle not only does it look kool it's way easier to move the front axle forward
