Well here goes,I don't post much because it takes me so long to type.I have a 41 willys cpe gasser that my son and I built with the help of a few friends.(glass)I had a steel willys cpe I sold to build the gasser,It was old Hot Rod cover car called pro fat, Feb. of 87 I believe,It was yellow and on the cover with a much nicer willys cpe. DUMB move on my part.I also have a 63 Impala 2 dr. hardtop, that I have had for 24 yrs., I just can't seem to part with that one.Recently I bought a 55 chevy 2dr post car to build an NHRA junior stocker,But that project never even got off the ground. Being retired and not wanting to go back to work I just don't have the funds.I have had a lot of other cars but being it took me an hour to type this I'll end it here.

What would I like to own?
    40 Ford Deluxe Coupe
    60 or 61 Ford Starliner
Have to stop here or I could fill a whole page.

  4. Here we go! *1934 Ford roadster paid $45. sold $65 never on road
*Anglia Station wagon sold never finished drag car
    *1956 Chevy Convert.
*1955 Chevy Belair 370 Pontiac Motor

    55 1st Chevy Truck - started on it at 11 years old... Kept it 17 years, should have never sold it. by age 15 I was fully smitten and started marching through the following list;

61 Chevy Truck (Ton Low Side-Dump. My grandpa's work truck... bought when he retired)
    64 Chevy Truck
    67 Mustang
    63 Chevy II
    67 Firebird
66 T-Bird - HATED working on this car, but finished a nice on-frame resto. Couldn't sell it quick enough. Burn in hell vacuum controls!
65 Corvair Convertible - First ground up build and my young wife's daily
67 Corvair Coupe - First "bought sight unseen" and my daily
25 other assorted Corvairs - You really can't own too many Vairs

**15 year hiatus from cars while growing kids**

    In the last 2 years;

54 Chevy Truck because I miss the ol' 55
54 Chevy Truck for the parts
51 Chevy Sedan because my wife was getting impatient waiting on the truck build, and so my kids could participate in our old car adventures.

    **wants**

My 55 1st series back... Missed it by 30 minutes on the Craigs about 3 weeks ago (DAMMIT!)
55 2 door post Chevy - Del Ray please
Shoebox ford in true 50's custom style
60-66 Chevy truck - long bed, big window, and veeery low
Lakewood Wagon (Corvair) with a blow through turbo 140 setup
    Random RPU
And the HAMB has me enamored with Model A sedans that are flathead, fenderless, and channeled.

  20. And of course..as with everything on the web, we have no way of knowing if they are true or not, though I suspect they are.
I WAS HOPING that it wouldn't turn into a "I've owned every cool cat there is" thread and WAS HOPING to hear from the people who never post. There are a lot more members than posters and I suspect most don't own hot rods, but love cars and are interested.
Don't be intimidated!!! Come on lurkers, POST.

I'm far short of every cool car and not an avid poster. I can guarantee you my list is accurate! Just don't ask me to list my tools... it's a much bigger list.;)

    1965 Tempest 326
My current 1923 (sort of) T

Only a small list by comparison :( Even had a few non HAMB cars; 1970 Jag XJ6 sedan with blown SBC, 1985 Ford Thunderbird and 73 Mach 1 Mustang . I've never owned a MOPAR however my father owned a 1964 Valiant. US cars down here are thin on the ground by comparison to what is available over there. Even owned a 1968 VW Type 3 fastback, great little buzz box (Dak dak).

    1930 Desoto sedan
    1932 Buick sedan
    1935 Chevrolet phaeton
    1946 Oldsmobile sedanette
    1948 Holden (GMH Australia)
1965 Holden X2 wagon (GMH Australia)
    1966 Fairlane GTA convertible
1970 Bedford (Similar to Chevy G series van)

  26. I wouldn't mind owning some of that Aussie stuff, its pretty damn cool. American cars are laying everywhere around here lol

I owned a 1958 4-door pink Cadillac in high school back in 74, had a 1970 mustang, 1964 chevy 4 door Biscayne?, a 1971 VW bug and a 1968 rally sport Camaro all back in the late 70's. Even had an 1960's (unsure of year) impala? that lasted three days then frame broke (a little more rusted than I thought) then came family cars (non-hamb) for a while than I did own a 1952 ford truck (wish I still had it) sometime in the 80's (didn't run, had plans but no money).
Now I own a non-running 1949 Packard 2-door Club Sedan, which I tried to trade or sell this summer for any old 1940-50's pickup (any make) which is my current "wish I had" vehicle to restore/hot-rod..... the other "wish I had" vehicle would be for a panel wagon or truck from the same years, I just think that in the 1940-50s they just did things right, some of the early 60s okay too but seems like the design talent just wasn't the same any more... especially the cookie cutter types we have now.

    At 18 years of age i've only owned 2, a '65 Chevelle and a '64 C10. I would like my next to be either a 55 C10 or a 56
Bel-Air. Love the mid 50's body style just never had the money or opportunity to own one
