Ric, what are your thoughts on tri Y headers?

  3. That photo is actually me guys!, back when I was his stunt double. He didn't like smooching the chickies & what not (he , "The H ass" as we affectionately knew him), was a germafobe before going on his pre-mentioned Jumbo Jack bender, plus he didn't dig getting his studio make up screwed up. I ran into him one day while shopping for some OP shorts at the Glendale Galleria, & he hired me on the spot. We used to be tight, but when his body started falling apart while I stayed ripped as usual, he stopped coming around. Now we just call him"The H off"
Did someone saying something about headers, or the YMCA?.., Kip?
PS. That bastard never did give me my leather jacket back either! Probably start calling him "The Rip H off"

Beebee78, I was checking your pic out of the front end all painted up. I'm wondering what shocks your running up front? Are they adjustable or 90/10's??? Jim...

Thanks beebee78! I'm trying to figure shocks out for 55' & looking at pic they appear they'd fit. I believe my brother Scott used some Farm & Fleet cheapie's on 55'... Eye to eye on front it's 14" on 55'... I'm just trying to figure out drag shocks for it... It's a learning process... Jim...

My brother Scott put an 64/65 Econoline straight axle in his 55' Ford Fairlane. I'd like to get shocks sorted out then move onto the front brakes, put some safer brakes up their! I hear that with learning! Scott had taken 55' Gasser apart & I had a steep leading curve putting it back together & locating missing parts... I just gotta learn or figure out what works or what to use to get it to hook up, shocks, tires, tire pressure, ect, ect. Like one guy said the more I get done the more I have left to do... Jim

I had her their at Meltdown 5... I'm going thru driveline now! Rear end & driveshaft I had to upgrade after a Tuesday night at Great Lakes Dragaway! Trans upgrade is almost finished... Couple loose ends to finish up there. I'm not sure what to move into next? Brakes or shocks or both??? Oh I'll have her ready for next Meltdown! Plus I've gotta see Power Shifter vs Okiedoker show down! Jim...

I think I seen Jeff/stroked Stang had an add on Craigslist for parts he was taking off 55' Ford & not putting back on. From Beloit, has to be same guy! Car looked solid from pics! Unlike Scott's 55' when he started, rusted to the door handles! "Rust Never Sleeps!" Jim...

It's a small world! Sounds about the same as with Scott's 55'... Quarters, rockers, floors, door bottoms. The piece between bumper & trunk lid is from a 56', I'm having a brain fart, can't remember what it's called! Scott & his buddy Dave Johnson from Union Grove made the floors & tunnel for it... Rust never sleeps! LOL!

I think Jim's car is going to surprise a lot of guys who saw him run high 14's with the same basic combination last year....
He's tweaked a few things and swapped out a couple weak links in the chain, and he's gonna make some noise at Meltdown VI! :D

I kinda dig Wailin Wilma....We used to have a flat track bike that raced around here that was named "Moanin' Mabel".....Kinda reminds me of that. :)
