thanks. dash is factory model A with the indent filled in. speedometer/gauge cluster is from a 56 Oldsmobile. I built the accessory gauge panel below it.

I really like your '28, I wish I had built mine using cool old ford parts.

Thanks that olds cluster looks made for that they way it fits the curve in the tank.

Must say I like that the best so far...
I want to reuse my tank but could always make provisions in the tank for the cluster..

Thanks for the kind words trying to keep it looking like a modified stocker Av8 if there is such a thing...

Here are some photos of my project. Still working on it.Have steel fenders to put on it also.Might leave fenders off for a little bit. See what it looks like when I take it out of the shed. Sorry about the pictures. Little blurry made my new firestones look bald. It was 26 degrees in my shed when I took these.

  22. Nice, looks good as it is in the raw.
My RPU is scattered all over town and state, engine is still 70 miles away (pick it up this week) frame at the blasters and need to order in a full gasket rebuild from Snyder's ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1417307703.163714.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1417307728.913579.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1417307751.968105.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1417307770.714980.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1417307798.885089.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1417307822.115915.jpg
Looking forward to finally having it all bolted together for the first time.
Still need my banger to 904 torqueflite adaptor kit, have a good late 60s 904 now as these are not very common in Australia.

Thanks Ritch. I thought it looked pretty good raw too. You will get there. Just take your time at it. Where are you going to get the adapter at? Are you going to start a build thread on it. I will be watching for it. Talk to you later.Bob...............

  26. A few home made kits around and one kit available from a well known Model A parts supply store.
I like the 904 kit as the ring gear is on the converter, it uses the stock slant 6 Mopar starter and does away with Ford crack prone bell housing flywheel cover. I will just make a new separate x member to mount the brakes, centre wishbone ball and some side "wings" to mount to the side of the bell housing for engine rear support.
The kit is just a simple plate to go on the back of the engine and a small flexplate to join crank to converter.
Some of the other adapters are adaptor on adaptor on adaptor, more chance of alignment issues to me.
