I forgot someone gave me this cam. Is it an old Crane Cams # ? Does anyoneI would like to know what it is and find a spec sheet. My dad ran it in "V" blocks to measure it's lift and @ 1.5 ratio it is .512 or so. He didn't write down the duration but I could try to check it again.
WOW, that was fast ! Thanks Rick, I didn't even think of Crower Cams having the CC. I feel dumb ! But thanks again.
Ok then, if it isn't a Crower and it is a Comp Cams cam, I hope someone can find an old catalog because I haven't been able to find info. anywhere.
My Comp Cams catalog # IV, page 24, says the following: CS304 H-8 series stage ll 304 304 design duration 246 246 duration @ .050 lift @ 1.5:1 rocker ratio .500" rough idle, good combination of mid-range & top end. Does not sound too automatic transmission friendly. Although the catalog has no publication date, I used it in 1980 in selecting a cam for my 300 Ford 6 in a dirt oval track car.
That info was not given. I'm sure if you called Comp Cams tech line that they would give you more info about your cam, such as lobe centers, etc. Google them for contact info.
