nice... I've a soft spot for '55-'56 plymouths. had a '55 2 door post belvedere with a 383/727/8.75... moved down the road well enough to be a fun car.

Might also check out www.forwardlook.net They have a hot rod section. Probably threads on putting BBs & LAs in. 'search' here may work also.

May look cool, but sometimes it's just so much easier getting to things from the front instead of draped over a fender & trying to work 'around the corner" on the front of the engine.

You might be able to use the hardware from a 70's - 80's Jag for the hood.

Those poly engines have plenty of "meat" to work with and can take a serious over bores and such. The rockers do clean up but make sure you take all the freeze plugs out of the rockershafts and thoroughly clean them - they will be full of crud - the same goes with the two oil supply galleries in the block - scrub the whole thing till its clean enough to eat off. Then start your rebuild. I'm finishing off my latest 318 poly build and got a dodge 325 poly (different poly family but same concept) on its way so enjoy them - they make good useable horsepower and are torque'ee for their size

  23. yes.......that's my little Daytona in my avatar......and I'm currently running an old poly 318 in my 65 wagon....stock - but the old wagon moves on down the road....my 56 Fury came with a broke 354 hemi in it - they notched the pan and made a trans mount for the power flight.....currently has a nice 277 in it....
