I have an old ford flathead v8 engine that has thru bolts for the crank mains. Anyone know what year this might be? Thanks
'32-34...flippit over and look at the pan area. Where the pan narrows at front it should not have the little extra hump beside pan with vent hole or the matching hole in block beside the pan. Next look at the brain valves and/or holes ib block where they go. If the surface where they sit is about 45 degrees splayed outward, '33-4. If they are on a flat surface that is an extension of the flat for the oil pan and the holes point straight down at the ground, '32 and possibly gold.
Thanks Bruce. I thought it might be a 33 or 34. I have a 35 that has studs in the mains. I just haven't seen one with the thru bolts. I'm going to rebuild it back to original shape. Thanks again. Mark P.S. I wish it was a 32
