anyone with a 1938-47 Ford Cabover have a picture of the roof skin bracing? I don't even know if there ever was any. If there was, I want to fabricate them as closely to original as possible. My truck doesn't have any bracing, but they may have all been removed when the periscope was cut in the roof. Thanks, Tony
Not sure about your truck, but all of the pickup cabs I've seen(35-47) have none. They had enough dome it wasn't needed.
None in the '41 Ford COE. I am curious about that rear seem in mine - is it original or has someone back-halved my cab ??
Cab brace by Dough Boy posted Dec 14, 2014 at 6:14 PM This is my 1947 and it has I guess what you might call a support brace. Hope it helps.
It's an original seam. Roof and back panel were two separate pieces. There will lead smoothing it out under the paint.
