Thanks Dave ! It's been very difficult to get motivated when all I can do is little things that don't cost much money , but posting pics and feedback from you guys has always been a great motivator and I need to take advantage of it to keep this damn thing moving forward regardless of how slowly that is...

Ah man.. that sux about the truck, after all you have done to it. :(
The 36 looks great compared to what you started with on your current project. ;)
Sort of like my T. Oh.. I put up a 10X20 tent garage for the T (yay!) and have been picking at it when things allow.
Family, work, health, money... you know the drill.
I'll get an email off to you soon...

Sounds good! Send it to koolkemp@hotmail.com ..... If I don't reply within a few days resend it I can be slow at checking and all the spam from Facebook makes it easy to miss things. Great to hear you got some space to get some stuff done!

Quite a few of us in your boat, Steve. Perseverance is the watch-word. How about inspiration from trakrodstr:

SOOO glad to hear you're back at it Steve!
Man...can't wait till we're all lined up down in the bowl again. Been a while, for me especially!
Have the T outside for the day so I can do a bit of work on my winter beater.
Supposed to be decent Christmas day and if it is I'm going for a quick cruise.
Cold but no snow around whatsoever...and I need a bit of motivation myself! :D

I too have been following this thread for some time now, here in oz the cold and snow isn't somthing we have to contend with in quite the same way. Its always good to see this thread pop up!

I was speaking to a neighbour of mine last night and he said somthing wich resonated with me, as I have a similar affliction, when asked what he collects, he said "I collect projects!"
I see that it's not contained to just this continent.... maybe its a colonial thing? Haha

Your vision for the projects you have is inspiring, keep up the good work,

Thanks for the comments guys! Unfortunately this thing probably won't see the road this year ... I had a bit of money squirreled away but got a letter from the taxman saying I wasn't entitled to the tax return they allowed me 6 months earlier so that's where most of my car fund for the next year is going...More steps backwards , story of my life . Anyways my new goal for this year is a drive up the street hopefully that will be a possibility, who needs glass or good tires! Been damn cold here but I did mud and block the doors to fill the pits and get them a bit straighter , good enough for suede . I also took the time to get some POR15 on the inside of the doors to let it soak into the pinch weld seam , drip it in with a small brush let it soak, rotate door and repeat.... Hopefully that should keep the surface rust I know is in there neutralized. Not very exciting pics though. Great to see the updates and hope the year ahead will be a better one for you.
Like the POR-15 tip on the seams.

  20. Progress is progress Steve , you'll get there !

  21. What a great tip on the POR-15! Never would have thought of that.

As for the extra funds, I know what you mean. The money I manage to save up for my Ranchero ends up getting used for more important family things. Money is always tight but we make the best of it!

The furnace in the shop died on the weekend ... It seems like it won't ignite ,pump seems to be working . Any of you guys furnace techs lol? Won't be getting too much done without some heat.... If I had the Bucks I'd have a wood stove in there by now .

There is always something, it seems. I know the feeling all too well.
    The doors look good.
Where do you by POR 15 around there. Canadian Tire sells it for 60 bucks for 900ml. YIPES!

Did you get the furnace going?
