Hot Rods 34 pick up patch panels

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by rust, Dec 26, 2014.

  1. has anybody heard of wolf steel restorations from frelieghsburg Quebec? They advertise quite a few repair panels for 32-34 ford truck cabs.

  2. Yeah,I have heard of them but never bought anything from them, there are too many places you can buy parts in the States and don't have to deal with customs or borders. HRP

  3. Be aware. I bought their back panel because they were the only ones I found that offered the back panel with the ribs in it at the time. Well, their version of the ribs are off in every single dimension. If you replace the whole back under the back window then it might work for you but I had to cut their panel into about 8 pieces to get the ribs to line up with the original ribs on my truck and they still weren't great. Some were too wide, others were too narrow. The bottom reveal rib didn't line up with the sides either. I wouldn't even buy a hamburger from them again..

  4. Don,I was totally unaware they sold hamburgers! o_O:D HRP

  5. As soon as I posted that I figured some wiseacre on here would call me out on it! Their burgers may be ok but their back panel for my truck was kinda hard to chew...

I just order their behind the seat interior panel, surely that will work? Only panel I needed

  7. Don't know. My truck don't have an interior panel behind the seat, just the back of the cab.
The one I had trouble with was the exterior back panel under the window.

The interior panel is about 5/6 inch's tall and is directly behind the tank. There's about a 6 inch space between the panel and back sheet metal. Residue gets between the tank and the panel and they rust. Only rust out I had in my cab and it's minimal but needs replaced.

  9. Krylon32, you are probably ok. My truck is a 34 and the tank is in the back of the axle. That panel you speak of has less detail than the one I had to replace.

  10. I got panels from them. not that nice.
