Im heading to Nashville January 17th and will be there till the 25th. Im bringing my girlfriend down for the week to attend a college cl*** and Im looking to get into something. I love meeting new people and learning new things. Didn't know if there was any shops that could use a volunteer floor sweeper or something. Would be available during the day. Im a 39yr old parent of 2 teenagers that doesn't get much time to enjoy our love for everything old. Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks. Brian.

I was there for a convention last year. Country Music Hall of Fame was cool, the zoo was really good (but I'm a vet), there's some really good stuff on the Civil Rights movement, which you should know about even if you aren't political, there's a car museum I didn't get to and, there's always barbecue.

If you want some wisdom, don't concentrate on all the old car stuff and spend some time with your girlfriend doing things she may like.
You may want to keep her around ;)

I appreciate the advice but she's in school all week. I come to Nashville almost every year. I wasn't looking for touristy things to do. Was hoping to maybe help someone with their project.

You know this doesn't sound good .....? especially with "creepers" in your user name ...lol , Seriously though , You could also venture up north to Bowling Green and check out the Corvette Museum and ***embly plant.

Belle Meade Plantation, home of the thoroughbred Iroquois the first American breed and born horse to win the English Derby in 1881. The girls would eat it up. My wife did. Besides that, before there was automobile racing there was horse racing...

Chattanooga is only a couple hours away too. There's some pretty cool stuff there like the Coker museum.

Less than 2 hrs from Vandy/Nashville Is the Space and Rocket center in Huntsville Alabama. Has a lot from the WW 2 V2 rocket to today. I think it has a lot to spark a Hot Rod guy.

  25. Maybe but that would include snakes as well as four legged rodents big enough to drink from a toilet flat footed-still game?

Mmmmmmmm demos. I know what's for dinner tonight !!! This time of year there isn't too much going on outside. So the museums may be a good choice. If you hit up ol' uncle jack take the pay tour. A few bucks and there is a taste involved !

I would say not working in it is how it got like that in the first place. Good looking pile of stuff you got there. Be down with the truck and trailer to bail ya out :D

Been years since I've been to Nashville. Obviously there's a lot of good food and music at night.
If you want a quiet, peaceful evening with the Girlfriend, grab a drink and take a stroll through the Opryland Hotel atrium. It's an incredible build that's pretty spectacular at night. There's a lot of walkways that have places to sit and visit and just unwind if she's not into a loud night out and wants to unwind from cl***es.
