History Drag cars in motion.......picture thread.

It might be a stretch on this one but it looks like they are watching dragcars in motion and it gives a feel for the time.

 

The "Lawman" ride in the background. Cool.

 

If you google the picture, it says it was taken at the old Santa Ana Dragstrip at Orange County Airport.

 

Been looking at one of these bodies for sale to build.

 

Shell Valley sells a roadster version and Cheetah Evolution makes a (very expensive) kit. Maybe they'll let loose of a body shell...

 

We have found a body just waiting to pull that itchy trigger finger.

 

When I saw your post I remembered that name and found this Houston Post ad in my scrap book.

Spray Bros..., wonder if they're the ones that invented nitrous oxide injection for engines.

 

Jerry that ran Temple-Academy was one of the greatest owners. if you lost first round he would hunt you down and give you some gas money. Lots of great memories at that track.

The coupe in this picture does it all for me. Is this Half-Moon Bay? This thread is sure building momentum again. A must see everyday.
