Certainly, in fact I'll even through in enough grade A cotton fabric and clear nitrate dope to recover it.
I already sold the car in my avatar - I do miss it , but I sold it for a good reason - to buy my shoebox Ford project . And YES , I would sell the shoebox IF the price was right , and not a pinched-penny less !
I haven't had that many cars but I wish I still had every one, running or not...Even the 48' A40 Austin...only adds up to seven..
It would have to be a big bunch of change to thik it about it. But as they say money talks, so anything is possible
I would like to sell my avatar everyday and then make more to sell. Adapters and covers that is and the wheel at the right price. Jim Ford
You know that UKAde is building a replica of that? https://www.flickr.com/photos/55288722@N00/sets/72157649331368818/
My avatar is my Dad sitting in his race car about 1949-50 It is my way of still spending time with him everyday. How could you put a price on that?
I'm thinking about selling mine. Have had a lot of fun in it for last 23 years. Old age changes things, bought something the wife will drive.
it was hard to do, but just negotiated a deal on mine pending payment to a fellow hamber. as soon as cash is in had the avatar will change. kinda sad--had this one longer than my kids,but... cash in hand--and new old stock avatar. this is the truck I'm currently rebuilding
I not only would sell my avatar but I sold it to a fellow hamber. I owned it over 30 years and don't miss it at all. I was in the car business over 30 years and one of the owners told me " cars are like whiskey ,they are made to sell ". However I do wish I could find a driver 40 Ford coupe !!
No...I made a pack with my 3 brothers. We all agreed to not sell the cars we all built together. Other cars have come and gone but these are not for sale.
I sold mine and I am building another one cause that's what I like to do. Same car a little different style.
Avatars for sale or rent, rooms to let, fifty cents. I'm a man of means by no means, king of the road.
Nobody would love her, that's why I bought her. If not for me she'd probably gone to that great junkyard in the sky
I have a lot of respect for you guys that have had your cars for 20 or more years...My brain is wired a little different. I would sell the Avatar, just because I didn't build it (its probably nicer than I could build) and I have some itches to scratch (29 Roadster 34 3 Window 56 F100, 56 Nomad, 36 3 window, 39 Deluxe coupe). I won't sell my brothers old 32 three window, and I could be talked out of my 34 five window (Had for 23 years now and its still not on the road).
No, but I'd sure like to buy it back. Sold it around 1969-70 for a whopping 900 bucks, or so. If anybody's seen it, or any remnants of it, in the North San Diego county area, let me know. DS
