I’ve always wanted a Ford flathead V8, but they cost too much and I don’t have a vehicle suitable for one, so I decided to build a wooden model about one third scale. The first step was to the web and down-load photos. With photos in hand I started shaping wood. The cylinder block and heads were easy, but the intake and carbs proved a bit more difficult. Everything is wood to include the sparkplugs and Joe Hunt magneto. The exhaust pipes and carb stacks are the exception, being made from aluminum tubing. After it was done, I began to wonder what to do with it, so I decided to build a wagon for my little dog Baby. I cut up an old lawn chair and welded up a frame and front suspension. I always like woodies, so it became a woody with red diamond pleated upholstery. Made a radiator shell from a tissue box cover and installed the little flathead

Built this 4-wheel drive articulated tractor many years ago... (oldest son driving it)

Used an air-cooled OMC 2-cyl engine connected to hydrostatic drive. Power steering was from a '69 Mustang. Hydraulic lift & tilt on spring-loaded blade. Joystick control.
