Art & Inspiration The Photoshop thread to end all Photoshop Threads!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Pair O' Dice, Oct 10, 2008.

  1. Wow, thanks Mad fish and Moose.
Not sure about the wide whites, but love the chrome wheels.
I've just brought new stainless Guide headlights.
The green rocks, no plans to repaint at this stage, but thats what I'll do when I do repaint..
The train is real cool, never thought of that.:):D

  2. Moose, just noticed the white firewall.
I always wanted to do that, haven't because it will make brake booster stand out.
Thought about putting booster under cowl.
Sorry for the crapy photo. It was taken with my phone.
The blue tips on flames works well with the green, and front fenders and lights look great in green.

Yes, it really surprised me how long it took the train to get some luvin'. I figured all those wheels would get chromed almost immediately. ha,ha

Any chance of a silver roof option ? Any chance of a silver bottom option? P3030022.JPG

Thanks. The all blue is a yawn, isn't it? I am glad someone made it all white, at least, instead of all blue. I think the blue roof and below the beltline is acceptable, but even though you did hit the original color closer, I think the Moose's blue works better.
Madfish though...aaah, you gotta love the out of the box thinkers. I like that choice. It looks good compared to the other options AND it's different as hell. Two birds with one paint job! It took me a few minutes to catch the wide whites, an important addition. I'm also sensing, going with that satin paint finish might be part of the appeal. No offense intended on your PS skills, that it comes across that way works, I really think.

Two thumbs up to this! The purists will snort, but since a majority of folks looking at this aren't going to be that sort, it's a win!

KiwiGlenn, thank you for the additional wheel treatments. Of the two, I like the second choice, but despite your efforts, the two tone white over blue doesn't work, imo. I think the blue roof and below the belt isn't too bad. I'll keep that one filed away.

No offense taken about photoshop skills. I didn't try to indicate that it was a satin finish. All I was trying to indicate
    was a paint scheme.

I've followed this thread long enough I am comfortable you roll with the comments, but because I've read this thread long enough, I feel better making sure my comments are clear and positive. The group of you who do this are worth your weight in gold and I don't take you for granted.

It's a shame that the whitewalls probably would cost as much or more than the paint job necessary to make this happen. ;-)

One of my other projects: can you guys show me this car in a blood red, dropped in front and some in the rear, and change the wheels to chrome reverse or five spokes? Thanks!

The black didn't turn out too dark but frankly, I think this dark gray looking/smoke gray looks nice under the gold roof.
