    Hi guys

Wondering if any of you guys can help? A friend of mine is having issues with a seller who's claiming Sacramento dmv are miles behind,
Don't suppose any of you guys know of that's true or not, my friend has been waiting 5 months.

What exactly, is he trying to do?
Two things that often work here in PA (yes, it's not CA but, thank you we're doing just fine with our own bureaucracy)
    1. Try getting your local AAA office to help. Often they can do the paperwork and send it in for you or even, in some cases, actually accomplish what you're trying to do.
    2. Contact your state representative. These legislators are actually elected to help regular citizens get through the red tape of state government agencies. Curiously, sometimes it really works. The state rep generally gets far less hassle than John Q Public.

    Keep us posted.

Call the 800 number on the web site. Believe it or not there is someone there occasionally.

If you do call the dmv 800 number just stay on the line until somebody answers.
There are many DMV offices in Sacramento just go back with your papers to different ones until you get a person who knows enough to help you. Sometimes you just have to be persistent. You have to just tell them what they want to hear and a little white lie never hurt and I say that thinking it is all on the up and up. Remember they want to get it registered. It is in their best interest to get it registered so they can start getting their money.

I have seen them a month behind on occasion. 5 months behind? I think I would call BS on that one.

  8. Don't know how far behind they are, but I've been waiting 2 months for the plates for a car I bought from a dealer Nov 25.

  9. Oh yeah, forgot that Ca is issuing 1.4 million drivers licenses for illegal aliens. Supposedly hired 900 DMV workers just for that fiasco.
