My wife and I set out to build a really nice car for her. .A car that would be beyond my skill level.A car like the ones in magazines that I only dreamed about. And yes we spent way more than we anticipated. It took us and our builder 10 years to complete it.Lots of sacrifices along the way,but we saw it through to completion. After it was finished we showed it for a year and won awards and was featured in Street Rodder Premium. Then we sold it for about half of what we spent on it.That 12 year period of our lives are full of great memories and relationships. We have no regrets. We got our 15 min. of fame. And last but not least the money we got after the sale is in the bank.Try that with a golf club membership. Congrats to the winner and all of the second place cars.
Chris, perhaps The Emperors may not have won any acclaim but it sure won the admiration of a lot of Hambers! HRP
With a body that nice, it shoulda been black...with larger 6.50x19 tires on the back....someone needs to photoshop it black.
The IE guys are golden in my book... I love just about everything those guys dream up and think they should be given some major props for all they have done.
If someone else wants to spend their rent money trying to bang Ava, I don't really give a shit. I still like what I like. It could be the librarian down the street. She doesn't need to be famous to be hot. Know what I mean? I KNOW you do! Just to be clear, it's not that I have a problem with the winner...it's that I just I don't care about the whole competition. As soon as I realized it doesn't change a thing for me, I stopped caring.
It walked away with my respect. For whatever that is worth. Ava was hot alright, dead now. Same as Frank. Oh well they had their moment.
So 3WLarry, Moses and Noah were hanging out one day,,,, HRP shows up and tells them he needs to across the water. Noah says I can build you guys a boat. Moses says how about I split the water for you. HRP and Larry hopped in the coupe and drove across and the rest is history. Just kidding
IMO a huge portion of people, in and out of the car scene couldn't care less what car wins. It means absolutely nothing to me. I still have to find the time and money to try and finish my car.
trophy cars and/or trophy wives are nice to look at, but, try driving one to work or getting the other to cook breakfast. Your scared to leave one alone in the parking lot and scared of eating the food.
Nothing wrong with high maintenance as long as the performance is there. Works both ways though because she can change you like a light bulb
It's nothing new, While the biggest dollar has been garnering the awards and aka-lades at car shows, the biggest dollar has also taken control of the magazines we trusted 40 years ago and turned them into the auto manufacturer's whores. Sadly, few are the wiser. Even worse. Print/magazines who at one time steered away from being advertiser biased have now all but driven those same once proud publications into the ground all the while placing on the highest pedestal, 'the kings new roadster" solely based on future revenues.. But fear not, there will always be a fresh crowd of wet behind the ears patrons to declare this years latest 'Hi-boy Ratster Ts' the next trend for the masses to drool over. What this all proves is that People are $heeple all the way to the top of the food chain.
I'm sure the car was magnificently crafted. I didn't really like the look, however. Of course, I always preferred Rita Hayworth to Ava Gardner anyway. Ava Gardner also married mickey Rooney.
Is this the other words for the same thing? Or did you just get a hankering for a chocolate bar and OT pony cars? I was just trying to be funny on Larry account. And you was the only on to see it. I meant if he has been there, and done that, I wanted to know if he meant the chicken ranch. And since he always is "patiently waiting for picture", I would spin it around on him. But no one laughed, it couldn't have been funny [emoji20] And now that I've explained it, it's less funny then before. [emoji52]
I didn't go but so far from the pics I have seen, this 34 3W is my favorite. I want to see more of this car. --louis
