see if you can get the video on Youtube and post a link here. May somebody will notice something that never even occurred to you.
Most thieves are not too sharp and tend to make stupid mistakes. If you stop trying, they win. Pray for wisdom in your ideas.
sad part is it may have been stolen for the TRAILER! Trailers are easy to sell with or without title easy to get new title[why,I built it myself officer]and trailers have a wider market than race cars.the good part,it makes the chances better to recover the racecar complete.look for a spot nearby where the car could be unloaded and hid out of sight
That is a very valid concept even if the trailer was a bit rough. In most cases were a trailer and car are stolen together the car isn't the actual target of the thief at the time they were taken. If you haven't done so already I'd be plastering the area with photos of the car and the trailer. I'd be putting photos of the car on every bulletin board in every business that caters to motor vehicle enthusiasts in the area. That includes parts houses, 4x4 shops, speed boat shops and anything else where motor freaks congregate. It's real doubtful anyone stole the whole rig thinking they could race the car and not get caught or even take it a ways away and sell the chassis and not get found out eventually. It's all too possible that someone who has a shady side spotted the digger sitting there and decided that that blown small block would be just the ticket to put in their rig that they can't afford a blown smallblock for. That could be anything you could stick a blown small block in.
around here they would use/sell the drive train and scrap the chassis , as most people now days don't even know you can still race a FED , as all they see is the top fuel rear motor designs even in the sportsman classes .
Ditto on the update & on the many requests for a video link ... Folks wanna help - give them information please ... If this has been located and/or recovered - please update Jim
