Wait a minute - what's that in the upper left corner? Zoom in all the way:

Neat little channeled roadster - note the cut-down doors and canted '39 Ford taillights. Anyone know this car?
    Final part coming up.

And finally Part 7. Time to grab a little liquid refreshment:

And let's check out the local art scene:

(Honest - this, including the Buick, is a sculpture entitled "Growth".)

And finally, I'd like to give a shout out to the many photographers who saved these little moments in history, going back to the days when they had to use those delicate glass negatives that were very easily... oops...

Thanks to the H.A.M.B. for putting up this thread (and putting up with my attempts at humor). ;)

An Aussie Holden Station Wagon 1958 but this picture must be reversed as it looks like it is left hand drive.
I don't think we were exporting LHD back then.

  8. I'm trying to see if the numbers on the license plate are reversed - it's hard to tell. I pulled the photo directly off the interwebbies, so it certainly could be wrong side round.

Edit: I blew it up as much as I could - If I'm right, most auto companies didn't capitalize the last letter of the car name, so most likely it's reversed.

This one had me going - thought it was the U.S. until I saw the Vauxhall PA Cresta, so I thought Canada until I saw the short-tail Falcon wagons. Checked out the sign - Smiggin Holes, NSW, Australia!

    Yep!
Love the mountain ski photos you're posting. Here's a couple I have from the Otto Sauseng estate, Aspen 1964:

There we go - brightened up the color a bit too while I was at it.

I'd like to see this modified into a baby Nomad.
