    Welcome to the fraternity...
Remember the initiation includes a secret handshake - (See Brother Panneton for that) and the mandatory purchase of a round of beer for all the members attending the Meltdown event. (Must be signed off by Brother Bilina)

We did away with the paddling and blood initiation when Brother Okie Doke passed out so we instituted the requirement that your Gasser is not officially recognized until you've bled on it through the normal course of your efforts. Once this has occurred your announcement this event has occurred is usually met with much fanfare and welcome celebration. (Sometimes mistaken for laughing at you and good natured ribbing) We then send over the Master of Rights to properly ordain you into the fold. He's an ex Rabbi who uses a relatively clean tube cutter... no big deal...

The blood thing is my idea as I tend to do that on a regular basis anyway. They drew the line at setting yourself on fire with a grinder or welder/torch... I guess that remains my own little vice.

Don't say you weren't advised...See you Friday 17 July for my round...

    Cheers

You don't need a gasser to run at the meltdown...Stock, S.S., FX, Altered/FED, Hot Rod, Gas, these are the different classes to run in.

  4. Yes what Kip & Saxxonice said. Top Mouth Eliminator is run mostly in the off season months, when many of the Northern cars are in cryogenic storage, while their human counter part is growing facial hair to ward off Jack Frost.

    I resemble this remark....
+3celcius last week with melting snowbanks...calling for -40 tomorrow with windchill - wtf ??
Not too smart on my part to build a non insulated garage. It's killing me to see all the progress on projects when mine is sitting on ice - literally. I'll fix that for next winter.

    I've had a dirty job since 1997.lol

    Sure glad it's the weekend:)

Also, picked up a nice 9" housing from my old buddy Dennis today after work for the very affordable sum of $40 cash money.:)
Now I can get down to narrowing this one up,and making sure I do all my math right this time and get it the right width, with the pinion centered instead of all wonky like it is now.:)
Also going to take this opportunity to fb up some mounting brackets for my $20 swap meet airlift bags:)

  17. Scott if my skill level was better I could have gotten rid of the ice :D

What is the best way to run the over the shoulder belt? Through the top slot in the seat or not? I have the bolt on type so they could be bolted to a single bolt or 2 a few inches apart. Cage guy was not sure where to put the bar height wise. How would I know ? Its almost done - just like some advice so we can move on.

You need to mount your seat to figure that one out.should be level with shoulders or no more than 4 inches below.

  19. Ok then its probably not going to run through the slot in the seat since these are the low back type.

Yeah, that was 'ol White Noise getting its ass handed to him. That dung beetle is pretty darn fast I'll have to admit. I had a blast playing along. Those guys are funny. Guess I need to do some tuning before the big show. I'd also like to take this opportunity to again call out all AWB cars to the Meltdowns. It would be cool to see a couple of dozen of 'em there! After all it's the 50th anniversary of the AWB car (or close enough). By the way, I'll be signing autographs for a small fee...very small.

  30. Thanks Saltflats! The pic shows 2 independent anchors - one over each shoulder. That is what I was looking for.
