I have a 1936 Pontiac business coupes I believe. My father in law passed away, and it was given to me. I have done some looking around, and there doesn't seem to be all out there on these. Anybody have some pictures of these? This is mine.

  7. Nice looking car. 1936 was one of the great years for American car styling across the board. If it's all original in good shape, I'd consider getting it running and stopping and drive it.I hate to see mostly intact relatively "rare" cars hacked up.My two cents.

  10. That is the first car I fell for, is yours a straight 8? 8's were very rare and some of the parts are impossible to find. I went to auto body school with a guy who restored one as his class project, never forgot it.

I believe it is, I haven't really looked at it to hard yet. Trying to finish my A before I start this

  12. In all seriousness, they are a decent and good looking 1930's car, but in a traditional sense, not hot rod or custom car material. For that reason, most of what you will find about these will be in restorer sites and mags.

Naturally there will be the odd street rodded version out there.

Personally I think it would be a real nice resto.

  13. Just a thought. A Pontiac OHC six would be cool, I think they are about the same length as the Pontiac straight6 or later GMC 6. Don't know how expensive or hard to get they are though.Would be KOOL!

    Comment did not print w/pics
I have had this for a while, resisted the urge to "hop-up"
kept the drive stock- went a little non period with interior vinyl and paint on exterior
    as seen in 1st picture
those port-a-walls looked great when it was black!

    Beautiful classic Fisher/GM mid-1930s body.
Same body as Chevrolets, so you may have more luck looking for inspiration from Chevrolet 1930s Customs.

Nice find ...if you decide to customize it...I definitely would take that center pole out in the front windshield...

I had a sedan for a while. was hell to sell it, nobody wanted it. Then since its sold (10 years ago) ive gotten a call or 2 a year from people wanting to buy it. Somehow they get my # from a pontiac club, and theyre all so sad to hear its gone and want the # of the guy who bought it.

Not really what id call hot rod material, but a nice cruiser mild custom kind of ride
