    Hello
    My name is Norb

Raced my 1964 Chevelle at 2013-2014 Hunnert car Heads Up and Byron Meltdown 2013.

After reading the 2015 Criteria, including 66-67 Chevelle I WAS PUMPED

So off came the pro stock style hood scoop , and bolted on a aluminum
    two lane blacktop scoop.
Called Stockton Wheels for two steel wheels 10x15 7 1/2 backspace to replace
    the pro stars.
Pulled the front Torque Thrust wheels from the 64 and it was ready for reg.
Planning on more vinyl lettering, added c/gas to the sail panel.

If you know somebody who does hand lettering for the same price that the computer and the whizbang machine will slice out lettering,I would sure love to get their phone number, cause it was almost $1200 to get my car lettered for last year's Meltdown, and the sign shop guy wanted almost three times that much to hand letter it.
I think it turned out ok.

The gold leaf was a nice touch.Just choose your fonts very carefully, and it will look awesome.:)

  5. Down here it gets to about 35 degrees and rains. Wish it would just snow and be done with it.

  6. Here is the first look of the 37 dodge coupe project my Dad and I are building. It would be cool to make the meltdown this year, but we have a long way to go.

I would label it A,B or C/MP(depending on engine size)...it fits the car better than the Gas class designation would.

  9. The Valiant has made it to every meltdown and this one will be no exception!
We can line up for a rematch as soon as your done playing with that HotWheels lookin 57 Cheby. Ronnie Sox was the man! I only got to see him run one time growing up, but he was still one of my idols along with Dick Landy.

    Hello racer-x

I have been putting the vinyl on myself, The cost from car stickers .com is affordable for me.
Also its on my bucket list to return the car to its former color and lettering as raced back in the day.

Checked out the Official Meltdown Drags class racing information page.
C/gas looked like the best fit.

Where do I find info. for a, b or c/mp class rules

Search modified priduction on the hamb...you will find some really cool stuff in the Junior stock thread too...these type cars hauled ,and became one of the fan favorite classes....

Does your chevelle have an axle up front? If it does, it fits the FX class perfectly for the meltdown.

With the hood scoop the NHRA would have let you run in Modified production in the target year that the Meltdown covers...I would letter the car as that if it were mine. Here are a few more Stockers for inspiration.

The Chevelle has a stock front end except for 90/10 shocks,
The engine size is er,um, 327 c.i. and thats my story and I am sticking to it.

Thank you for the info., did some research about Modified Production classes.
They did not allow any engine set back. The #1 front spark plug is about right over the
front axle. Set back about 8".

But if I keep the hood on, maybe no one will notice.

You won't like him much when his Chevy blows the paint off your ford oh and you better install safety nets in your door openings and rent a Uhaul to load all the parts in for the trip home cause all these Chevys you keep smack talking gonna blow all the panels off that thing lmao
