Anybody else have one? I think mine is a DA. Found a nice one on carnut.com but little else. Certinly there are others.
My father has 1929 Dodge chopped 5 window coupe. It has a SB chevy with tri-power. Ive only seen only one other in 5 years and that is the Rader Rims guys. They have one all jack up gasser style, black primer with flames. My father has a taken off the fenders, they were in pretty good condition. We have them stored with alot of other 29 stocker parts. George
my best buddy's got a 28 db pickup, its rough and does not really have a lot of stock parts but the body, doors are ford we think. we can't wait to sink our teeth in matt
I have a 29 dodge 5 window in progress. I found it in a flower bed, anyway going with 351w,3'' chop,9'' rearend model a front end and ahh.... ratrod the rest hit me back
Post a pic of your '29 and include one of the dash- that will help determine whether it's a DA or a Victory 6.
picked up a 1929 dodge coupe in northern california also missing a trunk lid seems like they all are, maybe they were used for pickups?probably gonna have to fabricate one.may have a fair amount of stock parts for sale after i get going such as stock suspension, steering column, running boards and front and rear fenders.
wont say what i paid for it but i think i got it reasonable, other than surface rust not a bunch or heavy rust or rot stored for 40 years.
Just bought a coupe, have the doors and trunk lid but the drivers door is bad!!! Would a 4 door door work at all for the belt line up?
The coupe door is wider. You'd need to stretch the door top by adding to the middle. But there are different models of Dodge, and I'm not sure if they all share the same belt design. Pics of your coupe and what is bad on the door would help. 31Dodger knows those cars very well, and would give some answers .
The beltline will be the same for the doors on sedans and coupes. F&J is correct in that you would have to section the center and add some. They should be the same from top to bottom, just more narrow and the overall curve may differ ever so slightly.
I also need a drivers door for a 29 dodge coupe. I would take one from a sedan if the price was right Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
I just picked up a 5 window myself. Complete shell except it must have layed on the drivers side for many years! I also am needing a drivers door. Glad to here a 4 door door could be a donner. I'm not for sure on my year though.
Mine is titled as a 30 but a few people have said it is a 29. I was told the 30 is totally different but I don't have a clue Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
It was common practice in that era to title the car as the year it was built by serial number and not by model year. If built in 1929, it may have been titled as a 1929, but with the next year (1930) features. As stated prior, the 1930 was a three window only. 1929 was five window. Here is the 1930....(not mine).
